One of the features on the album is Ariana Grande on the track, “Time,” which also begins on that eclectic electronic sound themed throughout the album but eventually meshes with a soft pop acoustic beat more commonly found in Grande’s music.
As society contends with sickness, anger, and fear, Donald Glover remedies the malignancy while fueling the anguish. 3.15.2020 is a bunch of sounds thrown together in hope’s that some of it will stick with the listeners. It’s more of a vibe record, akin to Marvin Gaye’s undersung In Our Lifetime; it rises and blossoms with attentive repeat listening.
This doesn’t sound fully fleshed out. Donald Glover is doing whatever he wants, which might fit these strange times we're living in right now, yet may not make for great music.

While the motivation behind the roll-out and release of ‘3.15.20’ remains up for debate, the new tracks do present a set of intriguing and well-executed contributions to Glover’s expanding discography — while continuing to steer clear of the Gambino raps of old, of course. Lacking the strong narrative thrust so apparent on his past albums, the project is incredibly disappointing.

The album ends with the pretty solid “47.48” where he talks about violence in this time over a glittery sound. Grande, as well as Gambino have that distantly distorted vocal sound throughout the song which is traditionally a Gambino trait.
