We were fortunate enough to get an early release of the build and the first thing we noticed was the extremely slick box packaging.
LEGO’s latest addition to the Ultimate Collector Series enters in the form of the A-Wing, a Rebellion starfighter that made its debut in Return of the Jedi. Side note, the only other UCS light kit to feature Large Bit Lights is the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer kit, so you know the A-wing jets mean serious business! That canopy will be a dream come true for plane builders. All LEGO sets featured in images are sold separately. (hey, our thing is wires, not stickers, give us a break!).
As we’ll see over the course of this review, the Rebel A-wing’s complex curves require equally complex LEGO solutions achieved in the new UCS A-wing.

The LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series expands with 75275 A-wing Starfighter – Brick Fanatics reviews the latest release. We wanted to appropriately light the UCS LEGO display signage. 3 min read. After trialling a few different approaches we all agreed that the classic Strip Light was the way to go. Hopefully, this means we get more UCS sets, released more frequently in the future! It really emphasises the ultimate collector series feeling, even more so than other UCS kits like the very popular UCS Millennium Falcon. Now while the A-wing is the fastest starfighter in the galaxy, this certainly wasn’t the fastest kit to design!
