When I play something like Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus that just sort of ends with no final boss, I feel deflated. It’s a tricky thing to tackle, but it’s a challenge I want to see more developers accept. All in all, if you wanna experience this game, i'd say just play the remake.

The "real" last boss took a few tries, mostly because I didn't realize his first form was timed. He doesn’t get rid of Dedede until batting him away. Bloodbourne has great bosses, but I couldn’t tell you what made the final one stand out other than being the literal last one. It was a good fight, but far from over. Cute, charming little timesink. Conceivably, you can just float across entire levels! It has all the great features of a Kirby game. Mace Knight debuts as a member of the Meta-Knights mid-boss in Kirby's Adventure and its remake, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. Kirby now has the Star Rod, and he can use it to shoot stars. The game is very cute, the only NES game I can think of even close to as cute as this is Yume Penguin Monogatari.

But this isn’t why I love Kirby’s Adventure. That said, it did a LOT right, particularly little things like letting you skip out of levels you've already finished, or explaining what your currently equipped power does on the pause screen. I remember being somewhat impressed that my little cousins were able to find secret doors that I had no clue about after I had lent them this game for a week or two. Of course you get to take the ... Best part of the game is definitely the ending, in which we discover the penguin villain was actually not up to no good after all (and thus Kirby has been killing hundreds of the penguin's goons for no reason) -- and from out of nowhere, Satan himself shows up to wreak havoc. It’s like spending hours building up to something … and then getting nothing. Kirby assembles the Star Rod, and he goes to place it back on top of the Fountain of Dreams. I did enjoy myself though. Sorry if this is the wrong game. Kirby is gaming's #1 fatass, ready to devour anything and everything in his path, and ask questions later (or never). Also I always enjoyed turning into a tire and slamming into walls. Not only does the game look sharp, but it moves smoothly, I haven't seen a trace of sprite flickering, and it's a joy to control. Mace Knight cannot jump, meaning that if he is knocked down to a lower area, he cannot get back up again.
