I too enjoyed writing a BST 3 times, not finishing every assignment due to how time consuming they were and getting docked 20% of my PA grade because two lines were 81 characters instead of 80. The first thought at increasing CAPE participation was to include a CAPE link in the last lab, but that link was omitted, and its absence wasn't noted until after 2/3 of students had been checked off. Expensive and poorly delivered. The next thought, which I thought was a really good one, was to give all students specific time in class to complete their CAPE review. You're not really getting a UCSD education. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. Trilogy also does bootcamps at other universities like Rutgers and UT Austin.

As a matter of principle, I'm against paying students to complete their CAPE reviews. From what I read, it's a company (Trilogy Education Services) that is using UCSD to 'market' their bootcamp. When I saw that most people put their phones and computers away, I thought most were done, I thanked everyone genuinely, and administered the quiz.

I recommend checking out their reviews since they have been around longer at these other schools.

Good professors for the required classes:BICD 100: Smith (Fall quarter only). Avoid Reuther. I dont get it. I haven't done it myself but I'm in a similar situation scoping out bootcamps. When working the class, I am 100% focused on students, their project and hopes for their futures. BIBC 102: Coleman (Spring) is great. This seemed perfect, and we'd get 100% participation, and we could move on.

But I did hear that it is $9000 if you pay over time, and $8000 if you pay everything at once (if I recall correctly). Local Covid-19 information regularly updated. I don't think I want to go back to school full time and seek another degree, I just want to learn the basics and be proficient because I have been needing to use it more often in my position and don't want to be left behind because I can't adapt.

I think you basically do have to run a tight ship to keep Piazza under control. Gave 4-6 hrs of homework and used a chicken scratch PowerPoint the whole class. I'll look into it more!

Later, when I checked CAPE participation, I was shocked to see that the review rate was still about 50%. In my last CSE 110 class in Winter 2017, the students gave a lengthy applause at the end of the course which I appreciated. You're not really getting a UCSD education. The CAPE review participation rate became newly important to me due to being formally evaluated by students who only have strong views rather than from the class as a whole. No midterms, and if you have a final it will usually be really easy (eg one final I took was online, open-book, with a window of 3 days to complete). I've read that codeacademy isn't the best way to learn and found this boot camp through UCSD extension. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. If that wasn't enough, then my request to complete the review should be enough because it's so easy and quick. Will also hook you up with an internship at a local company.

In general, I believe in free will with regard to CAPE reviews. Though many people think he's being dickish in his response, I personally agree with him and find it very annoying that only a couple days after every exam or quiz, there's some person asking when the grades will be out. They were the first of their kind in SD and now offer a JS focused course.

Being professional is a real aspect of being successful as you move onward into industry, and so I am pleased that you are paying attention to an important yet easy to overlook aspect to building a positive future career.

You should give the evaluations. This is super helpful. I saw everyone pull out their phone and their computer. I've looked into them, but because it is so new there aren't too many reviews. This is absolutely not true. Press J to jump to the feed. I also went through their AJAX classes years ago (long before jQuery).

In non-Gary classes, it's almost become a useless tool because it's flooded with ridiculously dumb/repetitive questions and people are becoming ruder on there due to being able to be "anonymous.". It's a worthless question! I've heard Hampton (Fall) is really good too.
